Baale of Orisunbare endorses Àlímọ̀ṣhọ́ Festival

The Baale of Orisunbare, Chief Akeeb Raufu Adebowale, has endorsed the Àlímọ̀ṣhọ́ Festival 2020, which started on November 24.

This is coming days after the Lagos State Government endorsed the festival alongside several other partnerships.

Chief Adebowale made this known during the visitation of the Okun Alimosho team to his homestead recently.

The Chief introduced the culture of his town to the team and also enlightened them on the Egungun peculiar to Orisunbare.

The Convener, Babatunde Oluwaseyi Adeola, told AlimoshoToday:  "He (the Chief) was so impressed that the youth can come up with such innovation. He pledged his full support and promised to showcase the culture of his town during the event. He also pledged his moral and financial support.

"He talked about the August 20 Cultural Day, and how it is being pushed to become a national holiday in Nigeria. If Christmas and Sallah can be declared a public holiday, our own Cultural Day, too, should equally be entitled to it."

Activities lined up for the festival include Asa Day, Sport & Games, Alimosho Business Summit 2020, Alitown Gots Talent, Okun Art Exhibition, Alimosho Mega Fair, Alimosho Carol, Children's Funfair, D3 Night, Alimosho dey hot, Alimosho Jazz night, Fuji night, Award/ closing ceremony.

The venues for Alimosho Festival are Abesan Stadium, Kelly Ann, Happiness Event, De-Dems, Rubies and Okla Hotel. Tickets for the events can be obtained at these venues.
