Honourable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf Moremi has endorsed the Alimosho festival scheduled to hold from  November 24, 2020, till Friday, December 20, 2020.

This was made known during a meeting the team of Okun Alimosho recently had with the Commissioner to discuss the upcoming festival and other reasonable ideas of development in Alimosho, like the need for a place to archive histories, profiles and events.

In addition to the endorsement of Alimosho Festival by Lagos State through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Akinbile-Yussuf has agreed to be the Iya of Asa Day and to grace the occasion with her presence as she pledges her support.

Also, she welcomed the idea of positively engaging the youths, as it will reduce unhealthy fantasies while channelling their energy into more fruitful and worthwhile ventures.

Archiving the works of leaders and projecting them properly will also serve as a perfect example to the youth and encourage them to do more.

Talking about tourism prospects in Alimosho, the Commissioner pinpointed the Igando Theatre and granted Okun Alimosho access to it, to further promote Tourism, Arts and Culture.

An IT office of the yet-to-be-commissioned Alimosho Youth Development Centre was bequeathed to Okun Alimosho for necessary IT works. She also promised the team that the organisation would be a member of the committee in charge of the facility.
