Following the massive turnout of youths nationwide and the hullabaloo occasioned by hoodlums disguising as protetsers to cause mayhem, especially around Egbe-Ikotun and the destruction of public facilities at Igando, a former chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA has enjoined the youths to be patient over their agitations.

The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon, has appealed to the youth to protect common resources and infrastructure in the local government and Lagos State at large.

Less than 12 hours after organised thugs burgled supermarkets and shops in Ikotun, hoodlums who disguised as protesters are also encroaching various shops at Isheri- Idimu in Alimosho.

Following the unrestrained acts of burglary, arson and looting which have characterised Ikotun-Egbe and Isheri-Olofin areas of Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Alimosho Local Government in the last two days, residents have narrated their experience.

Thursday evening has seen hoodlums breaking into shopping malls in Ikotun, including Twins Faja Supermarket and Foodcity, carting away goods in broad daylight.

Armed hoodlums have reportedly attacked the Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat in Alimosho Local Government of Lagos on Wednesday afternoon, looting offices and stores.

SOLDIERS have been reportedly shooting into the air at about 8:30am on Wednesday morning at the Isheri-Olofin Roundabout, Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area of Alimosho Local Government to disperse protesters who blocked the road.

Major roads in Lagos have been held to a standstill as the #EndSARS protest enters it's 12th day today. Isheri-Olofin Roundabout is presently blocked, so is Council Roundabout and Cele-Egbe Bridge.

#IKOTUNPRAYERWALK held on Saturday with the youths praying earnestly for the Almighty to intervene in the nation's affairs. It was a long walk from Ikotun Roundabout through Governor's Road Junction. It progressed to Idimu and then moved to Isheri-Olofin Garden. It was simply full of prayers and songs as participants marched with flags in hand and songs in their mouth, asking for Divine intervention in Nigeria. Watch the video below.

Ikotun-Egbe residents on Saturday marched through Alimosho with the hashtag #IkotunPrayerWalk, holding hands and praying for an end to police brutality, while praying for peace in Nigeria and more wisdom for the leaders.
