LESS than 12 hours after organised thugs burgled supermarkets and shops in Ikotun, hoodlums who disguised as protesters are also encroaching various shops at Isheri- Idimu in Alimosho, Lagos to loot wares belonging to innocent citizens.

President Muhammadu Buhari had in his address to the nation on television last night directed the cessation of all #EndSARS protests nationwide.

He said: “I therefore call on our youths to discontinue the street protests and constructively engage government in finding solutions. Your voice has been heard loud and clear and we are responding.”

However, despite the President's directive, hoodlums still go about their nefarious activities, invading the shops of hardworking businessmen and women in Isheri- Idimu.

Attempts to reach the Officer-in-Charge of the Idimu Police Station, Inspector Oni for confirmation has not been successful.

However, the Second Vice Chairman of Oke-Idimu Community Development Committee (CDC) Prince Akerele Yusuf confirmed to AlimoshoToday in a statement:

"We've heard continuous gunshots and everyone is trying as much as possible to maintain safety. There's been a report of hoodlums looting shops and stores.

"We have been told that police officers are currently engaging the thugs with gunshots to disperse them from looting people's hard-earned resources."
