1. COURT SENDS NAIRA MARLEY, SAM LARRY TO PRISON OVER MOHBAD’S DEATH5901
A Magistrate Court sitting in the Yaba area of Lagos State has remanded Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry, in police custody for just 21 days over the death of singer and ex-signee of the Marlians Records, llerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

2. WAEC APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF NATIONAL OFFICE5872
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has appointed Dr Amos Josiah Dangut as the new Head of the Nigeria National Office. Dangut succeeds Patrick Areghan, whose tenure ends in October.

3. FG REMOVES 7.5 PERCENT VAT ON DIESEL FOR 6 MONTHS

The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, has said that it will remove the 7.5 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) imposed on diesel while agreeing to pay all Federal workers N25,000 monthly for the next six months.

4.   AKINSANYA BAGS AWORI TOURISM AWARD OF GRATITUDE5831
The Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, has bagged an Awori Tourism Award of Gratitude during an annual award ceremony organised by the Awori Tourism Board and presented to him in his office at the council secretariat. The award was given to the Chairman as an appraisal of his performance, support, and promotion of community-based tourism activities in Lagos.

5. AYUBA TO EMPOWER ALIMOSHO CONSTITUENTS UNDER MPM, MAP SCHEME (ANTICIPATE)5889
In a bid to create a sustainable living for residents of the constituency, the Member of the House of Representatives representing the Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, is set to empower Alimosho residents with sustainable skills under the Mayor KK Paint Making (MPM) scheme and Mayor K.K. Agripreneurship Programme (MAP).
