1.    ALIMOSHO TOPS LAGOS LIST OF TUBERCULOSIS CASES IN Q1 Y2023 WITH 477 INCIDENT CASES
Data, in response to awareness against tuberculosis, have shown that Lagos State has recorded 4,621 new case notifications in the first quarter of 2023, while five local government areas are hot spots with the most vulnerable cases.

2.    RAINFALL AFFECTS 336 FAMILIES, DESTROYS HUNDREDS OF BUILDINGS IN ALIMOSHO, OTHER AREAS
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed that no fewer than 336 families and 228 buildings were affected by wind and rainstorms that wreaked havoc in various communities in Lagos State on May 1 and 15, 2023.

3.    COURT ORDERS DETHRONEMENT OF BAALE OF OKE-ODO IN AGBADO-OKE-ODO LCDA
A Lagos High Court presided over by Justice O.A. Akinlade has ordered the removal of Chief Saliu Babatunde Dada as Baale of Oke-Odo in the Agbado Oke -Odo Local Council Development Area of Alimosho Local Government.

4.    IGANDO ROAD ACCIDENT: DEATH TOLL RISES, AS 2 MORE PASSENGERS DIE IN HOSPITAL 
The death toll from Sunday's road accident at the Idowu-Egba junction along the Isheri-Igando road has now risen to three, as two more passengers die while receiving treatment.

5.    ALIMOSHO GENERAL HOSPITAL HOLDS NURSES' WEEK ANNIVERSARY 
Alimosho General Hospital, domiciled in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA of Alimosho LGA, on Thursday, May 11, 2023, held the grand final of the year's Nurses' Week anniversary.

6.    STREET TO STARDOM:  OKUN ALIMOSHO STORMS ALIMOSHO GRAMMAR SCHOOL 
Okun Alimosho, a non-profit organisation domiciled in Alimosho under the aegis of the AfroVanguard, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, stormed the Alimosho Grammar School in the Egbeda-Akowonjo LCDA of the Alimosho LGA to empower the community students with needed sustainable skills for a brighter future.
