THE death toll from Sunday's road accident at the Idowu-Egba junction along the Isheri-Igando road has now risen to three, as two more passengers die while receiving treatment.
Recall that on Sunday, May 7, 2023, tragedy struck after a Sport Utility Vehicle crushed a tricycle conveying a family of four along the Isheri-Igando road in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA of Alimosho LGA.

It was learnt that the driver of the SUV, who was heading towards the Igando area of the community, was at top speed when he lost control, skidded across the median, and rammed into oncoming vehicles, including two commercial buses and a tricycle.
While the commercial buses were partially affected, one person in the tricycle, a 10-year-old, died instantly. Other occupants were critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Among those rushed to the hospital were two persons who later died on Monday, May 8, 2023.
This has increased the 2023 death toll from road accidents in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA to over nine.
