Iwobi claimed that he took the words of Marco Silva, who he played under at Everton, to convince him of Fulham's ambitions and plan.

“Marco Silva spoke to me and told me about the ambitions of the club and where he wants to go,” Iwobi told the club’s official website.

The 27-year-old former Arsenal midfielder is out with a hamstring injury and is expected to be back after the international break, missing out on the Nigeria AFCON qualifiers squad against São Tomé.
