LA Liga President, Javier Tebas has given his honest opinion on the GOAT debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The league President made it clear that both players are the best in football history but he would pick ex-Barcelona, Lionel Messi over former Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking during a recent interview with Juan Jose Buscalia from DSports, Tebas said: “Lionel and Cristiano are the best two players in history, with Messi as first. Players are important but not essential for a competition.
“Trying to repeat it for so long, because Messi and Cristiano have been at the highest level since they were 18, it will never happen again, the stars have aligned.”
The duo are often regarded as the best players in the world with 13 Ballon d’Ors between them, as well as countless trophies and awards between them.
