MANCHESTER United's Manager, Erik Ten Hag, says he strongly believes that Luke Shaw is the Best Left-Back in the UK after the player signed a new contract with the Red Devils which will extend his stay at the club till 2027.
The 27-year-old is having a good time under the Dutchman's leadership, with a goal and an assist to his name, as well as helping the team secure the Carabao Cup while being used as a left-back and a centre-back.
Speaking after the new contract, Erik Ten Hag said, "[He's had a] great, great season so far. He's made great progress, so I think it's really good news for Manchester United that he stays playing for Manchester United.
"I think it tells everything, he's the best left full-back in the UK. You see it also in the England team, he is performing so well there as well.
"So we are really happy that he extended his contract and that he stays longer with us and is going with us in this project and in this journey. We have high ambitions, and we need Luke Shaw to fulfil those ambitions."
The England international, who joined the Red Devils from Southampton in 2014, has made over 150 appearances for the club, winning the EFL Cup and the UEFA Europa League.
