MANCHESTER United’s Manager, Erik Ten Hag has continued to back goalkeeper, Andre Onana despite a poor performance in yesterday's UEFA Champions League loss to Galatasaray.

The shot-stopper has been on the chopping board in recent times over his performance in the English Premier League and UEFA Champions League due to some errors that have led to the opponent's goal.

The Cameroon international gave a wayward pass in yesterday's game that eventually led to Casemiro’s red card as Man United lost 3-2 to Galatasaray in the Champions League despite taking the lead in the first 14 minutes.

“We are happy with our goalkeeping group, definitely with Andre. He was in one semi-final of the Champions League, last year he was in the final of the Champions League, he has the capabilities to be one of the best in the world,” Ten Hag told the media (via Sky Sports) after the game.

“He has shown that and he will do it. We already have seen in games his great capabilities, also his personality after he made mistakes. He will bounce back and I am sure he will in the coming games as well,” he added.

Onana has conceded 18 goals for United in just 10 games so far this season and could well still find himself in goal when United play Brentford on Saturday.
