NAPOLI and Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen has revealed he learnt to play like his role model and mentor, Didier Drogba as a child through video clips.
The highly-rated striker has made it known that his playing style is similar to that of Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba, noting that he was pushed to emulate the player at a young age.
According to Il Matino, Osimhen said, “The whole world knows that I am inspired by Didier Drogba. When I was a child, they introduced me to his style of football, the passionate fans, and then the whole community pushed me to follow him.
“And so, I started to take an interest in him, to watch many clips, and learn from his movements and integrate them into my way of playing.”
No doubt that Osimhen's playing style is similar to Drogba's in terms of his hold-up play, aerial and physical presence. He has emulated Drogba by winning the African Footballer of the Year award, as well as winning the league title.
