List of Super Eagles players invited for AFCON qualifiers against São Tomé

The selection sees three goalkeepers, eight defenders, four midfielders, and eight forwards for the game.

THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released a list of players who have been invited for the African Cup of Nation qualifiers against Sao Tomé on Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio stadium.

Jose Peseiro selected a mixture of home-based and abroad players after reaching an agreement with the NFF to continue his role as the Head coach of the Nigeria senior men's football team. The selection sees three goalkeepers, eight defenders, four midfielders, and eight forwards for the game.

The full list of selected players: 

Goalkeepers: Francis Uzoho (Omonia FC, Cyprus); Olorunleke Ojo (Enyimba FC); Adebayo Adeleye (Hapoel Jerusalem, Israel)

Defenders: Olaoluwa Aina (Nottingham Forest, England); Tyronne Ebuehi (Empoli FC, Italy); Jordan Torunarigha (KAA Gent, Belgium); William Ekong (PAOK FC, Greece); Semi Ajayi (West Bromwich Albion, England); Calvin Bassey (Fulham FC, England); Jamilu Collins (Cardiff FC, Wales); Bruno Onyemaechi (Boavista FC, Portugal).

Midfielders: Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Raphael Onyedika (Club Brugge, Belgium); Joe Ayodele-Aribo (Southampton FC, England); Frank Onyeka (Brentford FC, England).

However, Ahmed Musa did not make the selection while Alex Iwobi was out due to a hamstring injury.
