FORMER Arsenal and Barcelona football player, Thierry Henry has agreed that Napoli’s TikTok video mocking Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen is racially offensive.
Recall that the 24-year-old Nigeria international missed from 12 yards in the draw against Bologna, costing his team three points, and was then made fun of on Napoli’s official TikTok page, which didn’t sit well with football fans.
Following Napoli’s 3-2 loss to Real Madrid yesterday, Victor Osimhen was the topic of discussion as show host, Kate Abdoo asked Henry if he thought the video Napoli posted was racist.
“It's wrong on every level. What are we talking about? First of all, it is your own team...this is what you do to your own player?" Henry said.
"Then yes, it is. Do your due diligence…Yes, it is racist, what are you doing?” He concluded
With the player still having 2 years left on his contract with the Serie A team, many football fans have urged the striker to not sign a new contract and demand to leave the club at the end of the season.
