Arsenal and Gabon forward Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is donating one of his Arsenal Black Lives Matter shirts, worn by himself, to the Museum of London.

Following an anti-racist protest, the Black Lives Matter logo was added to all Premier League shirts, soon after the resumption of the Premier League season following the coronavirus pandemic that had put a pause to all sporting activities.

On his donation, the forward said: "I am proud to be the latest black player to captain Arsenal and it’s an honour to have the opportunity to donate my Black Lives Matter shirt to the Museum of London’s Collecting COVID project.

"I hope this will be remembered as the moment that football stood against all forms of racism and that it will inspire young people for the future."

Aubameyang's donation is the first item of this collection strand to be announced.
