THOMAS Tuchel, who will take charge of his first Champions League game with Bayern Munich against Manchester City, says he expects the German side to be brave.

Tuchel, who took over the German team last month after Julian Nagelsmann's sack, is expected to lead them to a Champions League win, as they remain the only team with a 100% record in the Champions League this season, winning all eight games so far.

The former Chelsea boss is not new to Pep Guardiola's side, as they met severally during his time in the Premier League, and also in the 2020 Champions League final which saw the Blues win 1-0 through a goal by Kai Harvetz.

Ahead of the game scheduled for today, he said, “We have to be brave. We have to believe in ourselves, be smart, have tactical solutions, and go to the limit of our physical efforts.”

Manchester City reached the quarter-finals after a win over another German opponent, RB Leipzig from which they recorded seven goals to nil in the second leg. They would hope to take down Bayern Munich at the Etihad Stadium later today.
