ALIMOSHO General Hospital, alongside 15 other general hospitals in Lagos and Osun States, has been listed as a study site for the 'Pipsickle Trial' for sickle pregnant women who are HbSS or HbSC.
This research is funded by The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and the Principal Investigator is Professor Bosede B. Afolabi.
Other study sites for the Pipsicke Trial include Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Gbagada General Hospital, Ikorodu General Hospital, Ifako-ijaye General Hospital, Randle General Hospital, Lagos Island Maternity, Federal Medical center (FMC) Ebute metta, Ajeromi General Hospital Isolo General Hospital, Shomolu General Hospital, Orile-Agege General Hospital, Mother and Child Care Amuwo-Odofin, Ibeju-Lekki General Hospital and Obafemi Awolowo University teaching hospital, ILE-IFE.
