THE Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde has brought the dividends of democracy to the residents of the council area as he empowered some entrepreneurs with equipment and start-up grants for their businesses.
According to information reaching Alimoshotoday, this particular exercise was in fulfilment of the promise made by Comrade Akinsanya during his campaign to equip them with tools and grants to aid the seamless start of their businesses.
While speaking with beneficiaries during the empowerment, which took place at the LCDA secretariat recently, the council Boss said; “The target is for the gainful employment of youth and women in my community, irrespective of sex, tribe, religion, or political affiliation.”
He also urged the beneficiaries to use the equipment judiciously to improve the standard of living for their families.
The beneficiaries, who were equipped with popcorn makers, pepper grinders, sewing machines, and so on, appreciated the Council Chairman for the gesture while assuring that they will maximize the opportunity afforded by the Chairman’s empowerment initiative.
