THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, has reiterated his commitment to take staff's welfare as his administration’s top priority.
Akinsanya, who was represented by the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Comrade Alani Babatunde, disclosed this while speaking during the inauguration of new Executive members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) at the council Secretariat on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
The council Helmsman enjoined the new union Executive members to cooperate with the council leadership to ensure the welfare of the entire council workforce is well taken care of during their tenure in office.
In his welcome address, the Council-Manager, Mr Samsideen Odeleye, urged the new executive to maintain the peaceful coexistence between members of staff and political office holders within the council area.
In his acceptance speech, the second term NULGE branch Chairman, Comrade Adesina Arowosafe, fondly called Toluwalase, appealed to the Executive Chairman as a former NULGE Lagos State President and the council's former branch Chairman to use his current office to provide a conducive secretariat for the Union within the council Secretariat.
Arowosafe sought the council management and the entire staff’s cooperation with the union Executives in the next four years in office for a robust administrative service delivery.
