Igando police apprehend 19-year-old for abducting 15-year-old, forcefully administering blood oath

During interrogation, the victim narrated how the suspect, Olarewaju, took her to the Badagry area, engaged her in forced sex and placed a blood oath on her in order to tie her to himself permanently by cutting his hand and forcing her to drink his blood as a bond between them.

A 19-year-old man, Damilare Olarewaju, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly luring a 15-year-old girl into a sex romp and thereafter administering a blood oath on her to prevent her from leaving him or having sexual intercourse with another man except him.

Media reports state that the incident happened at Abutu Street, by Elijah bus stop, Badagry Expressway,  Lagos State, where Olarewaju reportedly abducted the victim from her parent's house and kept her in captivity.

Following the disappearance of the victim from her parent’s house, the matter was reported to the Police at Igando Division and the DPO ordered his officers to move into action; Olarewaju was arrested while the victim was rescued in the process.

During interrogation, the victim narrated how the suspect, Olarewaju, took her to the Badagry area, engaged her in forced sex and placed a blood oath on her in order to tie her to himself permanently by cutting his hand and forcing her to drink his blood as a bond between them.

After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable for engaging a minor in sexual activity and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement, wherein he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, then asked the Court to give a date for a hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Layinka, granted him bail in the sum of #1 million with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of a means of livelihood and verified addresses.

The defendant was, thereafter, remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till March 25, 2023, for mention.
