Igando-Ikotun football development gets boost as Seamoriow Sports U-15 Championship League debuts

SPORTS development in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA has received a boost following the second edition of the Seamoriow Under-15 football competition. 

Information reaching Alimoshotoday affirms that 16 teams participated in the two-week Championship League among different youth across Lagos state at the Seamoriow sports stadium, Abaranje road, Islamic bus stop, Alimosho, Lagos.

This football competition, which was coordinated by Olayinka Olajide (FIFA) aka Olama, the SSA to the Executive Chairman on Tourism, is geared towards discovering talented U-15 football players across the Igando-Ikotun LCDA to be nurtured to greater heights.5461

While speaking at the finals, the Executive Chairman of the council area, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, said the U-15 Championship League is the first of its kind in the history of Alimosho, adding that the organisers are working round the clock to make the competition, which is endorsed by the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), a huge success.

“The U-15 Championship League would bring the best out of the players, and new talents would be discovered that can represent Alimosho in future Lagos FA-organised football competitions,” he added.5462

Akinsanya expressed gratitude to the cup donor, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Seamoriow Group Limited, Amos Oluwaseyi, for his contribution to grassroots football in Alimosho and promised the participating teams better officiating and organisation.

 “I can also assure you there will be a follow-up program for outstanding players willing to make Nigeria proud in the nearest future,” he promised.

The winner, Fortune FA, went home with a N500,000 cash prize and a trophy, the first runner-up, Seamoriow FA, pocketed N300,000 while the third, B. United FA and fourth positions received N150,000 and N75,000, respectively.
