Igando-Ikotun CDC meets with PSP operators on effective discharge of services to LCDA

THE Executive members of the Igando-Ikotun Community Development Community (CDC), under the leadership of Pastor Ojo Samuel, have met with the Private Sector Partnership (PSP) operators of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) operating in the council area to discuss processes that would ensure the effective delivery of their services to the residents of the LCDA.

During the meeting, the PSP operators highlighted factors militating against their effectiveness and efficiency, which include debt arising from residents’ refusal to make payment for services rendered in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, the deplorable conditions of major roads and inner roads in the LCDA, high cost of petrol/diesel since the removal of subsidy, menace of truck pushers, and negative effects of turnover at the dump site.

Present at the meeting was the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Hon. Mojisola Badmus, who assured the PSP operators that steps will be taken through the CDC Chairman in collaboration with the Supervisor for Environment and the HOD Environment on how solutions will be proffered to all outlined challenges.

On his part, the CDC Chairman, Pastor Ojo Samuel, promised that with regular CDA/CDC meetings, there will be improvements and changes in the narratives.
