How can one not notice passengers alighting and boarding vehicles, commuters waiting for BRT buses at the terminal, agbero boys doing their doings, beggars trying to solicit alms, LASTMA and Igando-Ikotun traffic management personnel trying to control traffic?
You can also cite Newspaper vendors and readers at the stands, road sweepers keeping the road tidy, hawkers plying their trade, and generally, people going about their day's activities.
Yes, Alimosho LGA is the most populated in Nigeria, and it is not surprising the huge influx of people to the Igando area, which is somewhat cheaper compared to living in the Egbe-Idimu or Egbeda-Akowonjo neighbouring LCDAs.
It is never a dull moment at the Igando bus stop. You just can't go through without spending or making money.
In the evenings, some boys do a certain kind of job that generates at least little funds for them to eat that night. When 'big men vehicles' go through, they stand by the window and hail them, raising both hands, they chant eulogising words. Impressed, the driver winds down and squeezes some change into their hands. This they do mostly, in the evenings, even going as far as clearing the traffic for these big men.
Some very young boys in their teenage years also wash people's cars in the ever-present Igando traffic. Although they start washing the cars without the permission of the owner, some vehicle owners magnanimously give them little cash for their efforts.
