THE Member of the House of Representatives representing the Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, has commiserated with the people and Government of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Lagos State and Alimosho APC, and family and friends of late Hon. Jimoh Ajao, who died on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
In his condolence note on Saturday, October 21, 2023, Ayuba said: “On behalf of myself and my family, I commiserate with the All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos State, the Government, and the people of Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Alimosho Federal Constituency, Igando Town, as well as the family and friends of our leader and brother, Hon. Jimoh Ajao, who died on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
“I received with great shock and grief the news of the sudden death of my dear brother and political associate, an industrious and illustrious son of the Awori-Yoruba race, Hon. Jimoh Ajao, who was a dedicated progressive politician and a leader who paid his dues for the success of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, in Alimosho Federal Constituency.
“He was the apex leader of the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area and a member of G-18, the apex decision-making body in the Alimosho Federal Constituency. He exceptionally served as the pioneer Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) from the days of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
“He was a successful politician and businessman. As a Special Adviser on Housing to the then Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, for two terms, he continued to be part of the governance structure that led to the transformation into a modern Lagos State.
“His sacrifices and contributions to the growth of democracy and our party will forever be cherished. He will be dearly missed for his elderly advice, dedication, and contributions to the growth and development of our people.
“May Almighty God grant his family, friends, and associates the fortitude to bear the loss and repose his soul.
“Accept my heartfelt, humble condolences.”
