THE Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, presented a budget of #1.8bn to the council legislators for approval.
According to an online report signed by the Media Aide to the Chairman, Comrade Oseni, the council mayor presented the budget before the local government legislative chamber which was presided over by the Leader of the house Prince Dauda Adeyemi Gbadamosi
While presenting the budget, Akinsanya claimed that the #1.8 billion budget was prepared with the input of the demands from various wards under the local government.
According to him, the budget is going to be funded with local government allocation from the Federal Government, as well as the internally generated revenue of the council.
He avowed that health, education, and security will be the main focus of the year 2022 budget, while priority would also be given to women and youth empowerment in the 2022 fiscal year.
While receiving the budget, the leader of the Igando-Ikotun legislative council, Prince Dauda affirmed that the local government legislators will look into the budget and ensure its speedy passage.
He also said that they are working harmoniously with the local government executive arm to ensure the delivery of good governance to the people of Igando-Ikotun LCDA.
