THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, has embarked on drainage construction in Fagbile Estate in Isheri Osun at a pivotal point connecting other communities in the council area.
The Fagbile road, which had been done multiple times in the past but keeps failing due to the lack of a drainage system, finally gets a lasting solution. The drainage construction will forestall the perennial flooding in the area and the consequent road damage.
The project is currently in its first phase, which involves the construction of the drainage while the second phase constitutes the road grading.
This project has the potential to benefit everyone in the area as it will reduce damages caused by flooding and transportation-related expenditures and ease movement for commuters across the area.
The Executive Chairman’s proactive approach to tackling the challenges posed by the drainage system is garnering support from the local community. Residents and stakeholders are expressing their appreciation for the Government’s responsiveness to their concerns and the efforts being made to create a cleaner and more efficient living environment.
