IN fulfilment of his electioneering campaign promises to the people of Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, the Executive Chairman of the council, has constructed a borehole and capacity storage tank at the Obadore Primary Health Centre (PHC) to cushion the effects of water scarcity in the area.
During the construction of the borehole, Akinsanya appreciated the council's political functionaries and career officers for their maximum cooperation and support for his administration.
According to the council helmsman, “During my Ward-to-Ward tour, I gave a promise that the health centre will be provided with a water facility. And here we are today, with a borehole in fulfilment of my promise.”
He also reiterated that his administration would continue to ensure that the dividends of democracy get to the nooks and crannies of the council area.
On his part, a community leader said: “I am so happy because this health centre was in a terrible condition, but today, as he promised during his Ward-to-Ward tour to Abalabi, he has turned the health centre into a magnificent edifice and not only that, with a modern borehole to cap it up, what a man of integrity is our chairman.”
The Baale of Obadore also thanked the Chairman for his gesture and assured him that the community would make good use of water.
