THE Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Lasisi Akinsanya Ayinde, on Monday, April 4, 2022, commissioned the newly constructed Salamotu Dosumu Skill Acquisition and Foundation Centre in the Ikotun axis of the council area.
According to reports, the skill acquisition centre is built to empower community youth with skills like computer literacy, fashion designing, hairdressing, catering, and others that will provide them with sustainable careers and jobs and make them future employers of labour.
“The foundation is to reach out to these rural dwellers to touch the lives of the less privileged people.
“The skill acquisition foundation is to empower the less privileged and downtrodden of the community,” Akinsanya reiterated during the commissioning.
The Council boss also advised the beneficiaries and prospective students of the centre to take advantage of the skills being provided by the centre in order for them to become independent and financially stable individuals in the future.
