The embattled Chairman was suspended by the Lagos State House of Assembly for alleged misappropriation and under-performance. However, Jelili on Monday faced the APC screening committee and was confirmed to contest for the forthcoming primaries in the party.
The exercise is part of activities lined up by the Lagos Chapter of the All Progressives Congress toward the 2021 local government election in the State.
Speaking to supporters at the venue, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon said party members should remain calm and focus as there is no division within the party in Alimosho urging members to work hard in the forthcoming election for the purpose of advancing developmental projects in the council area.
