APC Alimosho resumes LGA meeting; Jelili empowers over 100 members

THE All Progressives Congress (APC), Alimosho Local Government Area, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Tosin Fatoki on Thursday, August 18, 2022, resumed its local government meeting, at the Abati Primary school, with the cash empowerment of some carefully selected party faithful.

Reports reaching Alimoshotoday state that the meeting, which resumed based on the directive of the State Executives, was aimed at unifying the members of the party in preparation for the 2023 general elections campaign.

In his address, the LGA Chairman, Hon. Tosin Fatoki, welcomed all members and leaders in attendance to the meeting after a period of break, adding that though meetings were paused, activities never seized.

The APC Chairman added that the elections campaign has resumed and urged the party faithful to work diligently for the chosen party candidates in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

He then concluded his speech by reading out the names of the party candidates as it affects the Alimosho Federal Constituency; the candidates are Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Governorship candidate, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; Senatorial candidate. Hon. Idiat Oluranti Adebule.

Others include House of Representatives candidate, Hon. (Barr.) Ayuba Adele (Mayor KK); House of Assembly in Alimosho 01, Hon. Lukman Orelope; and House of Assembly in Alimosho 02, Hon. Kehinde Joseph.

In his contribution, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon appreciated the LGA Chairman for his efforts and his comprehensive talks; he then called for the unity of purpose in the party's activities.

Hon. Jelili then ended the meeting with special empowerment for party faithful which was distributed thus: 10 slots for aged women; 5 slots for artisans; 5 slots for the Arewa community; 5 slots for the South-South people; and 12 slots each for the 7 wards; among others.
Members numbering over 1000 were in attendance with tens of leaders across the various wards, factions, and groups within the LGA.

Notable among the leaders in attendance is the Executive Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon; the Vice-Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Akinpelu Johnson; the LGA APC Chairman, Hon. Tosin Fatoki; the immediate past APC Alimosho LGA Chairman, Chief Obisesan; Ward Leaders; and LGA and Ward Executives.
