Following the shocking vandalisation and looting of facilities and property of the Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat last Thursday,  the Community Development Committee (CDC) Executives paid a solidarity visit to the Council's helmsman, Hon. Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo on Wednesday.

The media aide to the Executive Chairman, Comrade Oyejobi Olakunle, disclosed this in a statement yesterday.

Only a fortnight ago, the CDC Executives had their Community Development Committee meeting at the Community's Multi-purpose town hall to deliberate on how to curb crime and protect the community from various crises.

According to Oyejobi, the Executives, led by the CDC Chairman, Alhaji Rabiu Kazeem, inspected all the offices and vehicles that were vandalised.

The CDC Chairman in his reaction totally condemned the vandalisation of properties by the reckless marauding hoodlums, who hijacked a peaceful protest that was geared towards ending police brutality.

The community leaders expressed their solidarity with the entire residents and workforce of Egbe-Idimu LCDA while praying that the Lord Almighty helps restore peace to their various communities.
