The Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest of a man (name withheld) for allegedly beating his 40-year-old wife to death. The deceased's son said she started vomiting blood after her husband allegedly beat her and inflicted injuries on her.

2.  LAGOS DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF POLICE HANGS SELF IN OYO

A Deputy Commissioner of Police serving with the Force Criminal and Investigation Department in Alagbon, Lagos State, Gbolahan Oyedemi, had reportedly committed suicide in his house in his hometown in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The FCID spokesperson, Aminat Mayegun, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, who confirmed the incident, said the police have begun investigating his death.

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has said that the anti-graft Agency under his leadership will lead a broad-based and holistic anti-graft war that would not spare anyone linked with any form of economic and financial crimes.
