The Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Yusuf Sakiru Adisa, today took the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat on a sympathy visit to the scene of yesterday's gas explosion.
The Deputy Governor, in company of the Executive Chairman and the Divisional Police Officer of Alagolo Police Station, Ipaja, visited the site and the affected buildings.
While commiserating with Hon Adisa and the people of Ayobo-Ipaja, Dr. Hamzat pledged the support of the state government to stand with the LCDA.
At the hospitals, the Deputy Governor prayed for the quick recovery of the gas explosion victims and equally extended his condolences to the families of the departed.
Hon Adisa thanked Dr Hamzat for the visit and assured the State Government of the LCDA's cooperation in getting to the root cause of the incident.
It was reported that the council boss worked tirelessly with other agencies of the State Government in the Search and Rescue operation during the fatal gas explosion.
He also extended financial assistance to those on admission and monitored those who were referred to the LASUTH and Gbagada Teaching Hospitals.
