RESIDENTS of Alimosho Local Government yesterday celebrated this year's Independence Anniversary in a low-key manner.

Independence Day is always celebrated on October 1 across the country.

When AlimoshoToday went through the Egbeda-Akowonjo axis, people were observed as just going about their normal businesses.

As against past celebrations  where people always donned green and white attires and held different social events, a large number of people were seen in their clothes as opposed to the usual national colours,

The only noticeable people in green and white were the NURTW officials.

Also, events held were limited.

Adron Homes was seen holding a 60 by 60 event promotion while Craving More Eatery at Okunola Bus Stop and Jendor Stores were decorated with green and white balloons, which signifies independence.

Okun Alimosho also held a walk in commeration of the independence Day. The walk was held from Moshalashi Bustop to Abesan Mini Stadium.

Also, the religious group, Christ Embassy, were seen at Egbeda Bus stop talking to people and also sharing their popular rhapsodies of reality material.
