Residents, business owners turn Command Road into 'refuse bin'

RESIDENTS and business owners in Command area of Agbado-Okeodo have now formed a habit of consistently dumping their wastes sacks on the T-junction that links Ikola, Ipaja, and Abule-Egba areas.

The junction which is highly populated with businesses, including a number of food and fruits sellers and Mr. Biggs, which is not too far away from the dumping points, as at the time of this reporting, is flooded with sacks loaded with decongesting wastes that are a huge risk to public health.

A petrol station attendant who pleaded anonymity told AlimoshoToday that the blame is on the government: "The government does not educate people on why they should not dump waste on the road. Also they must make laws that should lead to the arrest and punishment of offenders".

Mr. Biggs and Command Secondary School are two notable organizations located in the area.
