THE Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa has felicitated the Christian faithful in the council area as they commemorate the Year 2024 Easter celebration.
In his Easter message, Famuyiwa wrote: “I join the good people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA and every Christian around the globe in celebrating Easter - a season of hope, joy, renewal, and rebirth. It marks the end of Lent - a period of sacrifice and contemplation. Easter commemorates Christ’s Resurrection - a powerful reminder of God’s love and the promise of redemption for us all.
“I hereby urge everyone to remember Jesus' sacrifice and recommit ourselves to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbours just as ourselves, embracing His call to treat one another with compassion. As we look ahead for His blessing, let us continually share a common hope for the future, reaffirm love and compassion for one another, and cherish the blessing of the dawn of new possibilities.
“Let's not forget to keep our hope alive for a better Nigeria as God’s abundant love and mercy are unwavering. The light of Christ will always triumph over the trials and tribulations we face because He has defeated death. “Today, let us take a little extra time to pray for the strength of our country and our people, and ask that God hold us in the palm of His hands. Together, let us rejoice in knowing that Christ has indeed risen.
“Happy Easter constituents! May we celebrate many more in the land of the living.”
