INDIGENES of the Oki Kingdom in the Iyana Ipaja area of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA of Alimosho LGA on Monday, February 20, 2023, endorsed the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all other APC candidates across the board during a visit to the office of the Executive Chairman of the council area, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa.
While speaking at the meeting, the Baale of Oki kingdom, High Chief Adedayo Badeyemo Oki, the Ilufemiloye 1 of Oki kingdom, explained that they decided to endorse Asiwaju Tinubu after extensive consultations with some stakeholders in the community, adding that Asiwaju has contributed immensely to the development of the people and has met the people at the point of their needs irrespective of ethnicity or religion.
He also stressed that Tinubu brought tremendous development to Lagos State while declaring that he chose to work with capable hands at all times, irrespective of ethnic background.
Baale Badeyemo also reiterated that Ben Akabueze, former Commissioner for Budget and Planning in Lagos State and Engineer Joe Igbokwe, the present Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Drainage, are both beneficiaries of Asiwaju's inclusive government and style of leadership.
On his part, the council Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. Famuyiwa said Asiwaju created new agencies and Local Council Development Areas that created employment and social amenities for the good of everyone, declaring that he will do better as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He then urged them all as Oki descendants and residents to get their Permanent Voter's Cards (PVCs) ready to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
The group also donated face Caps as souvenirs to show their solidarity and support and to contribute their quota to the election bid of Asiwaju Tinubu.
