THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa, has joined the whole world to celebrate the women folk, especially the women of the council area in commemoration of the year 2023 International Women’s Day celebration.

In his felicitation note today, Wednesday, March 8, 2023, the council Boss said, “Today is International Women's Day, a day set aside to celebrate all the elegant women in the world for their feats in all walks of life. This year's celebration is themed ‘DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality' with the hashtag #EmbraceEquity.

“On behalf of the government and the good people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, I recognise and celebrate the barrier-breaking accomplishments of the women and the many vital roles they play in the growth and development of our society and economy.

“Of a truth, women have outstandingly succeeded as politicians, civil/public servants and even entrepreneurs while remaining the backbone of our families, our communities, and our country. Women make extraordinary contributions daily across all fields of human endeavours, including business, education, sports, arts, science, agriculture and governance. Without these contributions, economies may collapse, communities may fail, and families may fall apart.

“I know that when we invest in women, we are not only helping them, we are helping the entire planet.  A future in which all women around the world are allowed to rise and achieve their full potential will be a brighter, more peaceful, and more prosperous future for us all.

“Happy International Women’s Day! We love and appreciate you all.”
