THE Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa, has welcomed the residents of the council area to the Year 2024, adding that the year will mark unprecedented progress in the LCDA.
The council Boss, in his New Year message, said: “My good and peace-loving people of Agbado Oke-Odo, I bring you New Year greetings. New Year is significant as it provides the opportunity for families, friends, and communities to come together to express love and felicitation and give thanks to God, reflect on the past year(s) and look into the future with hope, vigour, and faith. It is also a time to let go of the past and start anew. A season to forgive all those who have hurt you and be open to new relationships.
“I must say we have kept our word to serve you with all our strength and might because, for us, leadership is about solving problems and providing directions for our people to realise their God-given potential. Despite the difficulties and challenges of 2023, we still recorded some memorable events and achievements as a community, such as massive investments in infrastructure, access to education and training, qualitative healthcare, and the creation of empowerment opportunities, to mention but a few.
“More than anything else, we have worked assiduously to secure and sustain the peace, safety’ and security of lives and property across the council area. We have also strengthened the bonds of unity with the promotion of inclusive governance. It is important to reiterate with gratitude, that these achievements are a result of the support and co-operation you gave to us in the last year. Together, we have worked hard towards realising our vision for a truly peaceful, secure and prosperous Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA.
“May I emphatically say that my administration in the Year 2024 will also be another year without a break in the execution of developmental projects. We will intensify our efforts and continue on the path to fulfilling our campaign promises in all aspects.
“Finally, I want to thank you all (irrespective of affiliation or disposition) for your patience, understanding and support as we work together to make Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA better and greater. I thank all our religious leaders for their prayers. It is my prayer that in this year 2024, God will continue to bless us, such that we make unprecedented progress to the benefit of our people.
