THE Igbo socio-cultural group, Ndigbo Leadership for Good Governance, Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA chapter, has thrown its weight behind the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Alimosho Constituency 01 House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Luqman Orelope, and all other candidates of the ruling party in the Alimosho Federal Constituency.
While speaking at a meeting on Thursday, February 23, 2023, the President of the group, Prince Anyabuike Nelson, said, "We welcome you and your team; in our earlier engagement, I told you we are solidly behind you and we won't go the way of tribal sentiments. All the people you are seeing here today will vote for the All Progressives Congress, starting from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all other candidates.
“Tinubu's track records endeared him to us and we have studied other candidates of the party and came to the conclusion that we will give our votes to the All Progressives Congress.
"However, we have our demands too because we will do our part to ensure we deliver maximum votes. We want our people to be integrated into the system, and use your power to influence some of the bad roads in Agbado Oke-Odo LCD to be fixed when elected.
“Lastly, it would not be out of place to bring back the ambulance system across the constituency."
In his response, Hon. Luqman Orelope said, "I really appreciate you greatly for this opportunity, and I can assure you we would not let you down. We are not here to preach but to appeal to you and solicit votes. It is indeed a thing of joy that you all rate AsiwaJu above other candidates.
"What makes this campaign easy for us is the fact that we have sellable candidates across the board, we would not take your endorsement for granted."
Elder Isaac Omoreghe, who gave the vote thanks, appreciated the group for declaring their support to the APC party, adding, “We would not let you down or disappoint you, I can assure you.".
