Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA holds bidding exercise for construction of 114 roads in Lagos

THE Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa, together with his Cabinet Members and the Management Team of the council, recently held the official opening of bids for the construction of 114 Roads across the 57 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos State.

The exercise, which came on the heels of the close of an advert made earlier for invitation for bids for the construction of 114 Roads on Monday, January 29, 2024, by the Lagos State Conference 57 of Local Government/ Local Council Development Areas, had in attendance stakeholders within the council area.

In his opening remarks, the council Boss assured everyone that transparency, fairness, and accountability will be the guiding principles during the bidding process. He further established that the selection process will be conducted with utmost integrity and under established guidelines. He also pre-informed the contractors that will eventually get the jobs that monitoring, supervision and adherence to quality will be strictly upheld.

In rounding off his speech, Hon. Famuyiwa implored the residents of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA to continue to share valuable insights that will help make informed decisions while congratulating the residents ahead of the addition to the infrastructure of the council area. 

On his part, the Acting Procurement Officer, Mr Durojaiye, explained to the attendees what the exercise entailed before conducting the bid process in a fair, transparent, and open manner. 

In attendance was the Vice-Chairman of the LCDA and Chairman of the Tenders Board, Hon. Ajoke Moromoke Aminat Obe,  the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Olatunji Ogunyemi,  the Executive Members led by the Secretary to the Local Government, Chief Akinwumi James Odeyemi, the Management Team led by the Council Manager, Mr Olugbenga Shogbanmu, the Council Treasurer, Mrs Ayodele Abdul Salam, representatives of the bidders - Essence Construction Limited, High Skill Limited, Skidoo Construction, and Engineering Limited, and other stakeholders.
