CHAIRPERSON of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA and wife of Hon. David Famuyiwa, the Executive Chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, Mrs. Mariam Famuyiwa, today, powered an empowerment programme for widows, single mothers, and aged women in the Council Area.
In her welcome address during the laudable event, Mrs Famuyiwa gave glory to Almighty God who made it possible for her to remain the Chairperson by making her husband victorious at the last local government elections.
She went further to appreciate the women and everyone who contributed to the mandate given to her husband. She also gave thanks to the Management and entire staff of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA for their persistent cooperation and support.
She affirmed that the support she gave to the women today was to fulfill the promise she made to the Almighty God during the campaign period.
The beneficiaries afterwards took turns to receive their fabrics and cash.
In their response, the beneficiaries in high spirit appreciated the Chairperson for the kind gesture and showered prayers on her.
At the event were the representative of the Executive Chairman and Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Oluyinka Folarin, Bishop Agbebi, HoD, Women and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Mrs Asubiojo, Immediate Past SA on WAPA, Hon. Gbemisola Abe.
