2024 BUDGET: Famuyiwa presents N3.3 billion to 5th Agbado Oke-Odo Legislative council

THE Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa, on Thursday, January 4, 2024, presented a budget proposal of N3,374,449,871.38 to the 5th Legislative Council for the 2024 fiscal year.

Presenting the budget at a well-attended session in the legislative chamber within the council Secretariat, the council Mayor disclosed that the projected 2024 budget,  tagged  “Budget of Continuity,” would enable his administration to consolidate its successes and achievements over the years. 

The budget proposal of N3, 374,449,871.38 comprises N1, 191,169,334.20 as Capital Expenditure, making up 35.3% of the total budget and a sum of N2, 183,280,537.18, which is 64.7% of the budget for Recurrent Expenditure.8130

The council Helmsman further emphasized his administration's focus on the development of every aspect of human life, with particular reference to infrastructural development, youth development, education and health, agriculture and economic improvement, which are critical to sustainable value creation. 

He implored the legislators to expedite action on the budget estimates within the specified time frame to meet up with the plans and programmes of his administration in this Year 2024.8131

In his remarks, the Leader of the 5th Legislative Council, Hon. Olatunji Ogunyemi, lauded the performance of the council Chairman, popularly known as Mr Project, in delivering his promises to the great people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA. He encouraged him not to relent in giving succour to the constituents by carrying out more programmes that will bring smiles to the faces of the residents.

Present at the event were all the Councillors representing the Seven Wards in the LCDA, Vice-Chairman, Hon. Ajoke Moromoke Aminat Obe, cabinet members led by the Secretary to the Local Government, Chief Akinwumi James Odeyemi, management team led by the Head of Administration, Mr Olugbenga Shogbanmu, SSAs, NULGE Excos led Comrade Femi Olowolagba, CDC members led by the Chairman, Mr Ernest Kasunmu, Bishop T. O. S Owoeye, Chief Imam Ajani Raji, and other stakeholders.
