TOYIN Peppeyo, aka Sisi Alimosho, on Monday, August 28, 2023, announced that the bloated body of an unidentified man who jumped into the Lagos lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, was recovered 48 hours after the unfortunate incident.
Media reports state that the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Adeseye Margaret, who confirmed it, said search and rescue operations began immediately after the alert of the incident was received at about 2.53 pm on Tuesday, August 2023, and it culminated into the recovery of the body on August 10, 2023, by 9.15 am, at the LASEMA end of the lagoon bank.

On her part, Sisi Alimosho pleaded with the public to speak up and express themselves when they have issues bothering them while also admonishing religious figures to educate their members that suicide is not an option.
“If you have anything bothering you, do not bottle it in; express it so that people around you can assist and/or pray for you.”- Sisi Alimosho.
