AS the transfer window closes tomorrow, Thursday, September 1, 2022, it is now certain that Crystal Palace and Ivorian winger, Wilfred Zaha would not be leaving the club.

Reports had claimed that the Crystal Palace key man has been linked to Arsenal and Chelsea as the transfer window is set to close at midnight of Thursday, September 1, 2022.

But after yesterday’s game against Brentford that ended in a 1-1 draw with the winger scoring, Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has made it clear that the player will remain at the club for now.

Vieira said when asked if Zaha could make a deadline transfer move “I didn’t even put that in my head, I didn’t even ask myself that question.

“I am working with him every day and there is nothing crossing my mind that something like that will happen. The only thing he is showing is competitiveness on the field, doing well for this football club that he loves very much.

Wilfred Zaha's current deal with the club is set to end in 2023, although Crystal Palace will be planning to keep him for another period, it remains uncertain that the 29-year-old would want to remain at the club.
