BARCELONA Boss, Xavi has called out referee Istvan Kovacs for the club's Champions League exit yesterday against Paris Saint-German.

As expected, the match wasn’t a smooth one as Xavi was not happy with the referee's decision to award Ronald Araujo with a red card following a last-man challenge, which shifted the tide to PSG's favour.

Xavi speaking after the match expressed frustration. "I told the referee that he was very poor. It was a disaster," he said, per GFNS.

“The red card ruined the match. I don’t like to talk about referees, but we have to say it. We can’t be silent," he added.

Paris Saint-German into the semifinals will face a tough opponent in German big boys, Dortmund, who took down Atletico Madrid in a 4-2 win and an aggregate of 5-4 to set the stage for April 30, 2024.
