Neymar Jnr. has told Brazilian reporters that he desires to play alongside his former teammate and captain, Leo Messi.
In the Champions League fixture against Manchester United on Wednesday, Neymar scored twice to secure victory for PSG in a 3-1 win.
During a post-match interview, Neymar expressed his desire to play alongside Messi again.
He said: "What I want most is to play with Messi again, to be able to enjoy being on the pitch with him again.
“He could play in my place. He won’t have any problems, I’m sure. I want to play with him again and I’m sure that, next season, we have to do it.”
Although it seems like Leo Messi could be playing his last season with Barcelona with his contract set to expire next summer.
Messi will be free to negotiate with clubs out of Spain from January 1, and it does appear that PSG could be one of the clubs that could potentially fund a move for him.
