Iheanacho was a major doubt for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after sustaining a muscle while on duty for Leicester City, but now joins the squad after he was declared fit.

Moffi, who was called upon to replace the injured Victor Boniface, arrived at the team’s Pullman Hotel base on Sunday and showed his readiness for action during training at the Ecole Nationale de la Police, Abidjan.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play the Elephants of Ivory Coast on Thursday and will need a win against the host to stand a high chance of qualifying for the knockout stage.

Hopefully, Kelechi Iheanacho and Terem Moffi could be named in the lineup against Ivory Coast as they aim to secure all three points.
