Samuel Kalu joins England club, Watford FC

NIGERIA winger Samuel Kalu, has signed a contract with England club, Watford FC, therefore becoming the 5th Nigerian player to be signed between 2021 and now.

Samuel Kalu from French Ligue 1 outfit, Bordeaux, signed a contract with Watford that will see him secured at the club till 2024/25 season.

Unfortunately, the 24 year old did not make the Super Eagles' squad list of the AFCON tournament , but will link up with other Nigeria players which include Emmanuel Dennis, Oghenekaro Etebo, Dapo Mebude and Maduka Okoye at the club.

Kalu speaking with Watford Media team said "I know  Dennis very well, and Troost-Ekong, we played together at Gent. I also know  Etebo, we’ve played together in the national team, they will help me a lot. I saw Dennis and Etebo and they were very happy to see me. I know they are going to help me settle at the club."

Kalu will wear the number 28 Jersey at Watford, and should be available for selection in Watford's next fixture.
