THE stage for the Champions League final has been set with Liverpool and Real Madrid to clash in what could become an epic final.

Recall that both clubs met in the 2017/18 Champions League final, with Madrid going on to win the prestigious trophy after 90 minutes of play to a 3-1 score line.

Salah could not have much action as he was subbed off in the first half of the game after injuring his shoulder following a tangle with Sergio Ramos which left the Egyptian in tears.

Salah who could peng the Golden boot in the Premier League this season now has a shot in redemption after Real Madrid made it into the final stage by defeating Manchester City 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Manchester City was less than 5 minute away from winning the game with a 1 nil lead before Real Madrid roared back to life, scoring 2 goals in 2 minutes with just 5 minutes of stoppage time putting the score at a 5-5 aggregate. A penalty to Real Madrid would be the deciding factor which Karim Benzema slotted it in at extra time placing the score at 6-5 on aggregate.
